ClEVR ACADEMY
Privacy and Security
This workshop is about Information Privacy and Security in relation to projects you are working on, the impact of legislation and the data of you, prospects, customers and suppliers that is processed.
Every developer should know how to set up the security in an application to make sure that users can only access what they are entitled to. This is a technical execution, but what about the principles you need to be aware of.
For this workshop, you do not have to prepare anything technical. But you are asked to gather some Information Privacy and Security cases you encountered during your work. This could be about a project or application you work on, or on more general Information-related topics, like how your data is stored and processed, or what laws and regulations you need to comply to.
After a round of introductions, we will kick off with some theory. Topics covered focus on information that is shared during project setup, the project itself and the end of a project when handing over to support or discontinuing an application. Next, you will learn about legislation and the potential impact on the platforms we use and applications we build. Examples of checklists and templates will be shared and you will learn from your peers about their struggles and solutions.
