The ambitions of the lingerie brand transcend the possibilities offered by the existing IT environment. The B2B portal and the B2C website that supported purchasing and sales processes were insufficiently sufficient. For example, there were problems with synchronizations, causing hick-ups in the stock and returns process. This was the immediate reason for Marlies Dekkers to initiate the optimization. Besides, there was a need for more flexibility. “In a dynamic market like this, a flexible IT system is a requirement. We wanted a faster time-to-market for adjustments. It also serves a strategic purpose for us. We strive for the growth of our market position with the same size of the organization. Therefore, it is important to be able to connect new etail organizations to our environment quickly, " says Maarten van der Wilt, Operations manager at Marlies Dekkers.
