DSI x CLEVR: Scaling trusted content creation with an AI driven knowledge platform

min read

DSI is a leading industry foundation in the Dutch financial sector, responsible for certification, accreditation, and continuous professional development. Established by and for the sector, DSI sets and upholds the standards for integrity and expertise, helping financial institutions demonstrate compliance with regulation and ensuring that clients and regulators can trust the professionalism of certified advisors.

As expectations around digital engagement and knowledge sharing evolve, DSI set out to transform how it creates, manages, and distributes content, moving from ad hoc article creation to a scalable, structured, and reliable content platform.

The challenge: Unlocking knowledge and scaling content creation

DSI holds over 27 years of disciplinary rulings and domain knowledge, but much of this information is stored in static documents and PDF files, making it difficult to access, reuse, or translate into engaging content.

“At one point, if we wanted to write an article, we relied heavily on internal experts remembering specific cases,” explains Marin Schrijen, Digital Lead at DSI. “That’s not a future proof way of working.”

In addition, content creation remained informal and unstructured. With a small team and no dedicated content department, articles were created with no consistent frequency, often depending on individual initiative rather than a repeatable process. This led to inconsistent tone of voice, and made it harder for the company to respond quickly to relevant topics in the market.

DSI needed a way to turn its knowledge into accessible, scalable, and consistent content, and partnered with CLEVR to achieve exactly that.

The solution: An AI-driven content generation platform

Together with CLEVR, DSI developed an AI-powered content platform built on an agent-based architecture that combines a centralized knowledge base, configurable AI agents, and structured workflows to generate high quality content at scale.

“At CLEVR, we approach AI as a controlled, business-ready capability, not a standalone tool,” says Janet van Zelderen, Customer Success Manager at CLEVR. “Our focus is on grounding AI in enterprise data, orchestrating it through governed workflows, and embedding it into real processes where it creates measurable value. In this case, that means turning DSI’s knowledge into a structured, scalable content engine where quality, consistency, and compliance are built-in by design.”

At the core of the solution is a centralized interface that acts as the control layer of the AI content platform. It orchestrates the interaction between data, models, and workflows, and it enables users to configure, trigger, and manage the full content generation lifecycle, connecting to:

  • A centralized knowledge base - A structured repository of all disciplinary cases, publications, and domain knowledge.
  • AI agents with defined roles - Configurable “digital journalists” with specific prompts, tone of voice, and responsibilities.
  • Agent workflows - Orchestrated sequences where multiple agents collaborate, handling interpretation, writing, validation, and refinement.

A user can enter a prompt or select an external article via the plugin, choose a predefined journalist profile, and finalize with a workflow designed to draft, refine, validate, and structure the output. Within seconds, a high-quality draft is generated, which can be quickly reviewed and published across channels.

“It’s really like working with a team of digital journalists,” says Marin. “You define what they should know, how they should write, and what the output should look like. With this level of control and configuration, we can generate outputs that hardly require any refinements.”

Impact: From ad hoc content to a scalable publishing model

The introduction of the AI platform fundamentally changed how DSI approaches content creation. Where previous articles were published sporadically, DSI can now generate content consistently and at volume, without sacrificing on quality.

We can now significantly accelerate how we create and publish content,” explains Marin. “By grounding every output in our centralized knowledge base rather than relying on individual expertise or manual effort, we ensure that content is consistently accurate, aligned with our standards, and rooted in validated information.”

The solution demonstrates what effective, enterprise-ready AI looks like in practice. By embedding AI within well-defined, governed workflows and grounding it in the organization’s own data, DSI has moved beyond isolated use cases to a scalable capability that delivers value across the business. As a result, DSI has achieved:

  1. Scalable and structured content production
  2. Significant time savings in content creation and research
  3. More time available for higher-value business activities
  4. Consistent tone of voice and content quality
  5. Full control over output through defined profiles and workflows
  6. Reduced dependency on individual expertise
  7. Faster response to industry developments and market topics
  8. Reusable knowledge across articles, presentations, and insights

“Because of the way the platform is architected, extending it beyond articles is straightforward,” says Janet. “The same pipelines can be reused to generate presentation decks, briefings, or research summaries by swapping templates and output formats, allowing DSI to scale from content creation to broader knowledge delivery without rebuilding logic, while maintaining governance, traceability, and consistency.”

Collaboration: Building a flexible and future ready foundation

DSI and CLEVR worked together to build lasting capability, laying the groundwork for the promise of the hybrid workforce where people and AI systems operate together in a structured, governed process. Rather than only delivering a solution, both teams worked together to reach the level of maturity required to operationalize AI in a controlled and scalable way.

DSI actively contributed by defining use cases, shaping workflows, and validating outputs, while CLEVR supported the technical foundation and invested significantly in enabling the organization. This included hands-on guidance in prompt design, model selection, and workflow configuration, as well as upskilling teams to work effectively with AI.

“We work closely with CLEVR on an ongoing basis, so we know what to expect, from the collaboration,” says Marin. “They are closely involved throughout the process, helping us define the right prompts, select the appropriate models, and structure the workflows. That continuous support makes it much easier for us to adopt the platform new possibilities and build the confidence to use the platform effectively across the organization."

With the foundation in place, DSI is well positioned to continuously extend the platform, turning it into a central building block for future digital services. Some examples the organization is already exploring are direct website integration via APIs, collaboration with external experts, and the introduction of chatbots and internal AI assistants to support broader knowledge access across the organization.

By transforming fragmented knowledge into a scalable, AI driven content engine, DSI is not only improving how it communicates, but also strengthening its role as a trusted knowledge partner in the financial sector.

And CLEVR continues to support DSI as a strategic partner in this journey.
